Phnom Bakheng
The Phnom Bakheng is one of the mountains from the plain of Angkor, and the heart of the city founded by Yasovarman I to X ' s, Yasodharapura. The temple of the same name is a contruction imposing sandstone and located at the top of this mountain.
It is a pyramid-shaped building (temple mountain) 5 stands close to the base of which is surrounded by 44 brick towers, the bear stands 60 Prasat small and lead to the upper terrace where stands arranged in five sanctuaries quincunx. That together form a representation of Mount Meru, the abode of gods in the Indian cosmolgie, the first of them, Shiva, is illustrated by the central tower.
